Café du Monde… 800 Decatur Street (French Quarter – Across from Jackson Square)
This legendary establishment brings the city their famous beignets and café au lait.  Don’t expect to order anything else from here because… well, nothing else is served.  Always open 24/7 except for X-mas.

Johnny's Po-Boys... 511 Saint Louis Street (French Quarter)
When I was a kid, my dad used to take me here for lunch after we walked the nine churches on Good Friday. We'd get there and of course Joe Di knows THE Johnny. Great traditional whole in the wall New Orleans cuisine. 

Satsuma… 3218 Dauphine Street (Marginy)
Fantastic little breakfast, soup and sandwhich spot nestled in the residential Margingy Bywater. Great coffee too. Check out the niffty little thrift store next door if you have time.

Elizabeth's... 601 Gallier Street (Bywater)
Awesome spot for brunch a bit off the beaten path, the establishment occupies itself in an old house nestled along the river. With a full bar, this place is usually poppin off on the weekends, so be sure to get there early if you've got plans for the day. 

Stanley.... 547 Saint Ann Street (French Quarter)
A new addition to the restaurant scene on Jackson Square. Once upon a time, I would've told you to avoid any restaurants around Jackson Square, but this place is doing it right. I've only been here for brunch and it was fantastic! Oysters and all. 
Clover Grill… 900 Bourbon Street (French Quarter)
A 24 hour burger/breakfast diner on the gay end of Bourbon St.  This is a great place to grub after a long night of boozing it up. 

Port of Call.... 838 Esplanade Avenue (French Quarter)
Right across the street from the Melrose Mansion, another great burger joint. They also have some interesting fruity cocktails!

Parkway Bakery & Tavern... 538 Hagan Street (Mid-City)
In recent years, this is the first place I want to go as soon as I land in New Orleans. Not to someone's house, STRAIGHT to this place. Some of the best, if not THE best po-boys in the city. The gumbo is amazing too. But what makes this place even more special is their beer selection. Try to hit this spot if you're in town. 
Surrey’s… 1418 Magazine Street (Lower Garden District/Uptown)
I drove past this Hawaiian themed establishment a million times before giving it a try. OMG! I can’t believe it took so many years to encounter the crab melt sandwich. I swear these people do everything to seafood you’ve always dreamed about. They have awesome breakfast too.

Mandina’s… 3800 Canal Street (Mid-City)
Fabulous New Orleans style cookin. Once again, amazing shrimp po-boys, gumbo, turtle soup, crawfish ettouffee, all of the above.

Patois… 6078 Laurel Street (Uptown)
New Orleans upscale dining at its finest. Be sure to make a reservation as this place is always busy.
Angelo Brocato… 214 N. Carrollton Avenue (Mid-City)
Rarely does a canolli pass the DiGerolamo standard against Brocato’s canolli. Italian pastries to write home about… leave the gun, take the cannoli.
